Five Months Later...

It's been five months since the last time I updated the blog. That's when we all moved into the in-law suite. Four adults, three kids, two cats adn a large dog have been living in a large two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. We are ready to expand into our new space soon. The builders project we can move in on St. Patrick's Day - our lucky day!

This is our family room. It's full of building stuff right now.

This is the fireplace/TV wall. The mantle isn't quite right yet, but they are working on it! Then they can start the stone work.

This is the music room. There is a piano burried under that stuff!

There is a stairwell in the dining room. Those are my kids and the neighbor's kids on the staircase. There are lots of spindles. 178 of them.

This is our built in china cabinet.

Our office cabinetry still needs doors! And the walls need paint, too.

That's our new kitchen.

This is the foyer.



The first floor bathroom is green. Easily adaptable to team colors in football season.



This is our bedroom.

These pictures are in the master bathroom. One is the shower halfway tiled, the other is the whirlpool.

This is the catwalk between the old and new sections of the upstairs.

Here's Dad's bedframe at 3:30. He had the bed on it and made by 4:30!

And your beds are just hanging around in the garage waiting to be set up this afternoon.

It may look like they are close to finished, but there is a lot more to go. There are backhoes in my driveway waiting to get working on what's left of our driveway!

Concrete and Windows

This week the house got a lot of windows! Just look at all that glass to wash!

The Watson side of the house got a new patio door.

These stairs lead from the garage to upstairs. They will be our most used entrance.

These are just some shots in the first floor of the addition.

This is the catwalk from the old house second floor to the addition master suite.

We still have a hole in the roof. It won't be closed until they can join the two houses on the second floor.

I think the shingles in the dining room are an especially decorative touch.

This is our new living room. I think the trash can is a lovely addition.

Here is the egress window. I am calling it the Higley Window because we put it in so that Dan and Linda can escape if they are visiting and the house burns up.

Here is the Watson's living room. I don't think the exposed cords are up to code, but Palmer can still watch TV, so all is good.

This is the Watson bedroom looking into their closet. This week they are going to texture spray it.

These are the hostas. They used to be along side the old garage. All the activity, and they are still alive!

The lawn tractor is in it's new home!
