Blocks, blocks and more blocks.

This week has been mostly about blocks. Cement blocks. Here are a couple of pictures of our new blocks.

We also had some siding done. It will not stay this color, BTW. This is the small garage. Oh - and it has windows now, too!

This is the inside of the small garage. Gravel floor for now. Wonder with the cement will be poured?

This was taken from where my Mom's bed used to be looking into the addition to her bedroom and into her new closet. The next picture was taken from her closet looking onto her bedroom.

That's it for this week's update. Next week should see the finishing of the garage walls where the pile of cement blocks are now. Maybe if the weather stays nice, they can also dig out the old driveway too.

Where is my Driveway?

This week more progress was made on the small garage. They worked on shingling the roof today.

One of these pretty blue pipes is a new section of septic line. Guess why it's new???? (They fixed it real quick!)

Here are their tools waiting for tomorrow. They are going to pour the footings and start working on the garage floor and cement block work real soon.

This space will be used to update our family and friends on the construction project we started in May of 2007. We are remodelling and adding on to our old farmhouse. This post has the first pictures we took.

This picture is of the small garage we are adding to the back of the house for my parents to use. At the point of this picture, there is no roof yet. Just Tyvek.

This picture is inside the small garage. It is the framing of a closet for my parents. Still no roof! Kind of cool to see blue sky through the closet ceiling.

Here is the view of the small garage from up the hill where the driveway will come down from.

These pictures were taken June 15. Much has been done since them. I hope to do another update tomorrow after I take more pictures.
